We had our February Bunco this past Saturday! And even though it was very small, we still had a lot of fun! My mother ofcourse wanted to do the Valentine's Day theme. So we had flower petals, heart confetti and chocolate candy, spread out on the tables. For dinner we had Spaghetti with Garlic Sauce, Chicken, Potatoes and Ribs! My personal favorite was the dessert! We had Homemade Cheesecake, Chocaolate Covered Strawberrys, Pumpkin Spice Rolls and a Strawberry Tart! It was so delicious! With Bunco I started off kind of slow. We play 4 rounds total, 1-6 each round, for a total of 24 hands. Well I had lost already 4 games in a row and then finally, I got my first Bunco! Bunco is whatever round you are on, say youre on 3s and you have 3 di each game, if all 3 di were faced on 3s, that is Bunco. I dont really know how to explain it better for you. Anyways so I had gotten my first Bunco and afterwards I started to win! Ofcourse I lost the game in general, but I had FIVE BUNCOS and the big Bunco Dice! So I won a little moo-lah! lol.
My aunt had brought her grandchildren, because my cousin and his girlfriend were working. But my Aunt Sandy had dressed them in these cute little outfits, with the most adorable little black and silver shoes! Well it wasnt until about halfway through Bunco that we noticed that they each had on a different shoe. Same design, but one shoe had a heel and the other was flat like a ballet slipper! Needless to say, we teased my aunt for the rest of the night! And our winner for the night was my cousin, Lisa! She was carrying around one of the girls all night and ended up having 17 wins and 4 losses! So she was calling, Rachael, the twin she carried all night, her 'Good Luck Charm'
On a side note, Sunday we went to the movies. We ended up seeing Big Miracle, which is a true story about California Gray Back whales being trapped under the ice off the coast of Barrow, Alaska. This happened back in 1988 and it was a big deal for Greenpeace and the Oil Companies in Alaska. Well I do have to say that even though there are some very sad parts, this movie was excellent! I highly reccommend it to anyone who doesnt mind watching a little tear-jerker!
Well until next time ladies and gents! Have a good week!
Love,
Kimberly
